Shipping

When will my order be delivered? When we receive your order the Salty Dog shipping team jumps into action to collect, box and ship your order. Most orders are shipped within 24 – 48 hours and you will receive your order in three to twelve business days (excludes weekends) depending on your location. For an additional charge we’ll expedite your delivery. For surfboards see the Air Freight Section below.

For expedited delivery, orders must be submitted Monday through Friday by 11 a.m. EST. Overnight delivery orders placed on Thursday after 11 a.m. EST will arrive on the following Monday. Overnight delivery orders placed on Friday after 11 a.m. EST and over the weekend will arrive on the following Tuesday. Holidays excluded. 2nd Day Air orders placed after 11 a.m. Wednesday will be processed on Thursday and will arrive the following Monday. Holidays excluded.

If you have any questions regarding the shipment of a product please e-mail or call Customer Relations. Please remember that weekends are not considered when calculating delivery times for expedited orders. Once you receive your order please inspect and notify us of any immediate problems or discrepancies within 72 hours.

If you have entered your correct billing email address during the order placement, you will be emailed notification of shipment by UPS. This email will include the shipment tracking number, delivery date, and include a link for tracking the shipment yourself.

Salty Dog Surf Shop makes every effort to ensure that the products listed on www.saltydogsurfshop.com are in stock for every sale. In the event that a product is not available or gets put on back-order, a Salty Dog associate will call to offer you the available options. If you do choose to wait for the requested item to be reordered, your credit card will not be charged until the item is shipped.

All surfboards are shipped via Air Freight. Processsing and delivery times may vary due to the extra handling involved in shipping a surfboard. Most orders are shipped within four business days and delivery usually occurs within 7-10 business days after shipping. However, delivery to certain locations may take longer. Surfboards are extremely fragile and require special handling. For this reason, all Air Freight shipments should be inspected for damage upon delivery before the shipment is signed for, if damage is noted you must call (386) 253-2755 within 24 hours.

Surfboards are of a fragile nature and surf brand boards come with no warranty by the manufacturer or Salty Dog Surf Shop. Any board showing signs of use or damage will not be accepted for return or exchange. Upon receipt of your new surfboard immediately inspect the board for damage and report any imperfections within 24 hours. Please note: Surfboards can only be shipped within the Continental United States.

Delivery usually occurs within 3-12 business days, but may take longer depending on your country and location.

Our Non-Continental United States shipping rates are determined by the weight and the location the order is being delivered to.

Orders may be subject to import fees, duties and/or taxes imposed by the destination country. These charges are NOT calculated during the order process but are due upon delivery and are not collected by Salty Dog Surf Shop. We highly recommend contacting the destination country’s customs office for further information. Customers who refuse their order will not be refunded the original shipping fee.

Please note that equipment (surfboards, bodyboards, skimboards etc.), oversized items and name brand items like Roxy, Quiksilver, O’Neill, Lost and Billabong etc. can not be shipped outside of the USA due to vendor and shipping restrictions. Items that may be shipped Internationally will display the words International Shipping in a gray box, both on the product listing page and on the product description page.

Salty Dog is committed to customer satisfaction. If you receive merchandise that you are unhappy with for any reason, simply return it to Salty Dog within 30 days – in the condition you received it for a full refund. After 30 days and up to 60 days we will issue a store credit that never expires. Merchandise must be returned in its original condition with merchandise tags in place with a valid invoice.

Exceptions to Our Return Policy

    Gift Cards may be returned at any time for store credit in the amount equivalent to the remaining card balance.
    Surfboard sales are final and cannot be returned unless damaged upon receipt.
    Swimwear must not be worn and have original tags and hygiene liners intact.
    Underwear must not be worn and have original tags intact.
    Footwear must be in new condition (no wear on the inside or outside) unless defective.

How To Return an Item
Salty Dog offers fast and easy returns. There are two ways to return items from us.

The first and most convenient way to return items is with our pre-addressed SmartLabel which we include on the front of your packing slip. Return instructions are on the back of your packing slip. If you use SmartLabel, no postage required and no waiting in line! Simply drop your package in any U.S. postal mailbox or hand it off to your U.S. postal carrier. We will automatically deduct the cost of return shipping of $7.95 from your refund or credit. Unfortunately we are unable to offer SmartLabel returns for packages shipped to Puerto Rico, Guam, APO/FPO addresses, Canada, or other countries.

The second way to return items is to use your own shipping method. Call customer service at (386) 253-2755 Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM EST to obtain a return authorization number and enter it on your packing slip. Fill out the rest of your packing slip and enclose it with the merchandise. For your security, please insure the package against loss and retain your tracking number. Salty Dog cannot accept COD deliveries and is not responsible for customer returns that are not received. Send your return package to this address:

Processing Time for Returns
Please allow approximately two to three weeks for the shipping and processing of your return. Depending on your credit card company, it may take an additional two to ten business days after your credit is applied for it to post to your account.

Salty Dog Surf Shop uses the United States Postal Service for its shipping. We currently offer 3 shipping options within the Continental United States – Standard Post, Priority, and Express Mail. The cost for shipping is based on your total order amount (before sales tax when applicable). Free ground shipping offers are for orders shipping within the Continental United States and exclude oversize fees and surfboard shipping.
